(Guelph ON – November 10, 2008) The Best of CAMA Award Show, November 6, 2008, recognized GJA communications through the nomination for two national marketing awards. One nomination was for the development of the “Grow Guelph” brand in the special events category and the other for the Ginty Jocius Memorial in the crisis communication category.

“We’ve had a great year working with some terrific clients who recognize our talent and expertise in creative marketing.  These nominations were just icing on the cake,” says GJA communications President, Frances Marciniak.

Marciniak who attended the awards in Quebec City was thrilled to accept the award in the crisis communication category for GJA’s role in the Ginty Jocius Memorial.

“Ginty was my mentor and friend for over 25 years,” Marciniak confides. “This award is more than a reflection of the great work we do at GJA communications.  It honours the man who helped make this company into the award-winning agency it is today.”

Marciniak, the former Vice President and Creative Director of the communications firm at Ginty Jocius & associates took on the leadership role of President back in spring of 2005 when the firm became known as GJA communications.

“Losing Ginty at the beginning of this year was very difficult but the company has continued to experience success.  We’ve worked hard and we are fortunate to have a very focused, talented team. The nomination for two awards at CAMA this year is confirmation that we can produce great work no matter what the circumstances.”

CAMA, the Canadian Agri-Marketing Association is a network of agricultural marketing professionals located in five Canadian provinces. The 'CAMA Chapters' promote and develop excellence in the marketing of agricultural products, services and programs. Throughout the year each chapter provides their members with educational and networking opportunities and they gather annually at the 'Best of CAMA' awards to honour their colleagues and to celebrate achievements.
